About Regina
Wallace-Jones

Regina Wallace-Jones is a 16-year resident of East Palo Alto, community advocate, tech executive, and family member.

After being raised in the city of West Covina, CA, a city not too unlike East Palo Alto (EPA), Regina studied engineering and technology policy, with the hopes of using technology for social advancement.

As a member of the EPA community, Regina has served in a variety of ways. She is the founding board president of StreetCode Academy, a patron of Black Girls Code, a board member for Women Who Code, and a partner of the Lean In Foundation to advocate for women pursuing professional ambition.

Most recently, through her position on the City’s Technical Advisory Committee, she is partnering with the Ravenswood School board to assist in transitioning District employees who will be laid off due to budget insolvency issues.

Professionally, Regina is currently Chief of Staff and Head of Product Operations at eBay Inc. and has previously served as a tech executive at Yahoo and Facebook.

Regina holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Masters from UCLA in Public Policy with Emphasis in Technology Policy.

She is the daughter to Edward and Alice Wallace and sister to 3 siblings (Alicia, Dawn and Mikayla). She is married to Steffond Jones, a Sr. Software Engineer and Apple veteran. Together, they have two beautiful daughters, Addison and Jocelyn Jones.

Platform

Housing

The Bay Area suffers from a regional housing shortage. East Palo Alto is no exception. Together, we will build more housing that is affordable for more people.

Traffic & Congestion

East Palo Alto is a gateway city to Silicon Valley. We spend as much as 30 minutes exiting and entering our city each day. Together we’ll decrease traffic flow, diversify commuter routes and create new revenue streams for the city of East Palo Alto.

Economic Development

East Palo Alto is reaching a tipping point as we continue to welcome new and richly diverse city residents. But we’ll continue to be a compassionate city that creates opportunity and offers support to those that need it most. We’ll create more ways for more residents to have more through job creation, skill development and financial literacy programs.

Education & Tech Enrichment

The East Palo Alto City Council will build an enduring alliance with the Ravenswood School District. We’ll seek strategic ways to bolster support and amplify core curriculum with complementary tech enrichment programs.

Community Building

We don’t need winners and losers to run a city. This is not a zero sum game. We are committed to building community one neighbor at a time, and to building solutions where we can all win together.
